Another fun week! Some parents were asking about our bearded dragon, Remmie, because kids were talking about him at home. We’re posting his picture below. Another question was about our chick hatching project. Yes, five chicks were hatched this summer: Rosy, Yemmi, Juni, Pearl and Sunny. Students were excited to watch them grow day by day. Some loved patting them. For detailed documentation please check our last year videos. Here are more pictures from this week:

Another fun week! Besides our regular learning activities—English, Spanish, Chinese, Abacus, Chinese Calligraphy, etc, this week we talked about the life cycles of the lady bug, frog, butterfly, chicken and plants. Students really enjoyed doing puzzles on these life cycles. Here are some pictures from this week.

Another fun week! The field trip to the Model Railroad Museum was a big hit this week. Students were so into it we had a hard time to get them out. On Friday, a triple digit temperature day, we brought kids swimming. Here are some pictures for this week.

Quentz Summer Camp officially started this week and we are so excited to have the kids to spend a fun and learning summer with us. We started off on Monday with ice breaker activities to allow kids to get to know each other and feel comfortable around the new environment. Our field trip this week was to the Japanese Friendship Garden in Balboa park. We had a very nice walk in the park and learned about bonsai and koi fish. On Thursday, we had our first Chinese Calligraphy class of the summer. We learned about the evolution of the Chinese writing, the shape of strokes and four treasures of Chinese Calligraphy. We are also learning Chinese, Spanish, English daily through singing, reading, and games. One of the games we played was the ring toss while learning Chinese numbers. Kids loved this game! Our lunches this week were spaghetti noodles, quesadilla, mac & cheese, fried rice, and pizza. With every meal we served a few different vegetables and fruits. Kids are also getting fun outside time with our new born chicks, hula hoops, jump ropes, playgrounds, and NEW FRIENDS. We are looking forward to another exciting week!
